What is Environment of Human Resource Management?
Human Resource Management operates in open environment, so it is affected by internal and external changes in environment. Now question is that what are internal and external changes in environment? We can define this term like when any technology is changed then it is in external changes and when any organization structure is changed then it’s in internal changes.
HRM is adopted by many companies because of its benefits. But at the same time, various challenges and issues may emerge in front of managers of human resource department while performing their duties.

This type of challenges is beyond the control of management. This kind of challenges happened due to the external changes of environment. Environmental Challenges can occurs due to the globalization movements, changes in social-cultural and technological changes of the environment. So, we can understand the term globalization as-
Globalization is a process by which a business firm or organization starts operating on an international scale, creating international influence. A human resource manager will need to deal with more heterogeneous functions such as scheduling meetings, holiday management, human resource outsourcing, etc to overcome with the challenge.
Organization Challenges can be occur due to the internal changes in the environment.The management has control over these issues. In this HR manager has to understand the internal dynamics properly and devise way and means to survive and progress. It include the workforce diversity. So, we can understand workforce diversity as –
Workforce Diversity is, the organizations are heterogeneous mix of people in terms of gender, age, category, and sexual orientation. Main goals of it have to assess and understand the diversity of marketplace. Significance of it’s maximizing the productivity, enhance and increase the loyalty of employees.
These are similar to organizational challenges but are concerned with individual. Individual challenges can be occur due to the internal changes in the environment. These challenges include the issues like productivity, Job Insecurity, Matching people and responsibility and productivity.
For instances, if many key employees have leave a firm to join its competitor, it will affect the competitive position of the firm.
So how is training a challenge to HRM? Before organizing training programs, HRM should answer following questions:
What is the objective of the training?
How to make them effective?
Who are the target groups?
How much does the program cost the company?
Skilled workers are the key to smooth functioning of organization. Therefore, HRM should manage on-site (within the workplace) as well as off-site (outside the workplace) job training’s for employees.
As we have discussed the dominant issues and challenges which are facing by HR mangers and organization. Managing any kind of information is a challenge to HRM because it should know which information are actually useful and which are not. After distinguishing this information, it should select such method of storing information which is safe as well as reliable.
In spite of all the problems HR Manager are able to overcome all these problems with the support of management and employees.
